January:
Project begins – Dr. Geniva Liu (Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Applied Psychology, Dalhousie University) assumes role of Associate Researcher and Project Manager. Patti Devlin (Klein Lab, Dalhousie) assumes role of Assistant Project Manager, Jolanta Lapiak, (MFA, Intermedia, NSCAD University), assumes role of  Research Assistant.

​Dr. John Christie (Applied Psychology, Dalhousie University) and Dr. Simon Gadbois (Ethology, Dalhousie University) enlisted as advisors to the study.
September:
​Personnel change – Daniel Hutchinson (MFA, Painting, NSCAD University) assumes the role of Research Assistant.

​Longitudinal study begins – Session 1 of the longitudinal study of eye movement when drawing from observation begins. 37 Novices are tested in September and 14 experts are tested in October/November).
