Milestones of the NSCAD Drawing Lab,

January:
Second phase testing – Session 2 of the longitudinal study begins. 32 novices are tested after completing the 14 week Foundation 1 drawing course. Five additional experts are tested.
June:
First presentation – The “good eye”: Eye movements of artists engaged in drawing. Liu, Klein, Hutchinson, Maycock. Annual Meeting of the Canadian Society for Brain Behavior and Cognitive Science, Victoria, British Columbia. Geniva Liu Presenting.
July:
Drawing lab relocates – The Lab is moved from the Morse Tea Building to the NSCAD Granville Street campus.
September:
Personnel change 2 – Thomas Elliott (MFA, Intermedia, NSCAD University) assumes the role of Research Assistant.
October:
Third phase testing – After reestablishing the lab in the new building, testing recommences. 15 weeks (summer vacation) have elapsed between completion of Drawing 2 and the start of session 3 testing. Session 3 testing starts with the 24 novices who completed Foundation Drawing 2 in the winter semester.
December:
Data analysis begins – Analysis of the data from the various parts of the testing begins and continues.
